UPCOMING: Sally Potter’s portraits from the film set of RAGE

An Exhibition of Photographs by Sally Potter

The renowned film director, Sally Potter will present a series of photographic portraits taken on the set of her film RAGE using a cellphone camera. A selection of these portraits was first shown in 2010 in New York to coincide with MOMA’s retrospective of Sally’s film and video work, which includes the Oscar-nominated ORLANDO, THE TANGO LESSON and YES. Her most recent film, RAGE was the first feature to premiere on mobile phones.

The exhibition at John Jones includes portraits of Judi Dench, Jude Law, Eddie Izzard and Lily Cole, as well as New York actors Steve Buscemi, Dianne Wiest and Bob Balaban. There is also a special event that Sally is doing for London’s Serpentine Gallery on February 20th as part of their Serpentine Cinema programme.

The exhibition runs from 24th February until 7th April and is open 9.30am – 5pm weekdays, 10am – 3pm Saturdays.

FILM: Danny Moynihan’s Boogie Woogie

Danny Moynihan‘s film Boogie Woogie, which is set in and satirises the London art scene, is due to be released on April 16th. Damien Hirst acted as artistic adviser on the film, which includes several of his works, including one Spin painting. Watch the trailers below.
