For those who need an excuse for a long weekend away, here some cultural stimulants that may get you to actually book the tickets. In Amsterdam SBMA, a project space somewhat functioning as a placeholder in anticipation of the reopening of the Stedelijk Museum, is hosting an exhibition called ‘Identity Bluffs’. SMBA brings together works mostly based on photography and video, shedding light on the ways in which migratory processes related to globalisation affect the featured artists’ practices.

Berlin has been visited by Agathe Snow, known for her installations of gathered objects found on the streets of New York. For her latest show, All Access World, Snow explored the aesthetics and meaning of the world’s monuments, landmarks and historical sites, focusing on the ways they shape collective memory and serve as potent touchstones of national identity.

Peinado explores themes of patriotism and contemporary culture with his quirky installations and sculptures. He is an artist who believes ‘new’ is an empty term and who likes to alter reality, rather than start a revolution.
