To celebrate the release of Sarah Lucas and Olivier Garbay’s publication The Mug, Other Criteria held a book launch last week in the Hinde Street shop. Alongside the book, we displayed LOVE IS A BIRD LOVE IS A BURDEN in the full array of ten colours and had a selection of mugs for sale.

The Mug is a collaborative project exploring Lucas and Garbay’s working methods. Designed in the style of an alphabetised address book, it catalogues their thoughts and ideas, mixing free-form Anglo-Gallic poetry with various artistic experiments, dabbling in dirt, dominoes, and drinking. In conjunction with the opening of our second shop, we are hosting a launch of The Mug on Thursday 19th February 2009 at the new shop from 6.00 – 8.00pm. We look forward to seeing you there for the book signing:

Other Criteria is delighted to announce the opening of our second shop, located in Hinde Street, Marylebone, near to our offices. In contrast to our flagship store in New Bond Street, Hinde Street will sell smaller edition items and merchandise such as prints, mugs, stationery, t-shirts, books and postcards.
